Darn this probably means the Dunk to Leicester rumours are going to pick up again.
Why didn’t we just sign Manolas for 35 mil? Better and half the price
*assuming he would’ve come here I guess
Ugh, I hate that transfer so much.
Great business for Leicester though. 65m in profit in 2 years of being good but not great.
Would’ve rather paid the extra 20mil to get Koulibaly.
Koulibaly is going to wind up at City, isn’t he
Napoli aren't going to sell Koulibaly.
I agree unless he wants out. I’m excited about Koulibaly and Manolas
Well he was supposedly available for ~100mil.
It should be a fantastic pairing.
That's always the rumor every summer with him. I remember when Chelsea were after him. We'd reportedly bid what Napoli wanted and then they'd just as for 10 million more. That happened a few bids until we just moved on.
I think Napoli set the price for him at 110-120 million euros. That sort of implies they don't want to sell.
It seems the Gazzetta dello Sport, who are not reliable by any means, claim Dybala wants to know first what direction United are heading in.
Based on spending 80m on Maguire, I'd say this is a good summary:
Excluding the price, I'd say a back four of AWB-Lindelöf-Maguire-Shaw seems like a good base for the future. Backline's been more or less rebuilt this window.
But I see a new thread is already open so let's continue there.
