RULES
Each poll runs 24 hours and is public. Vote for your choice and nominate a prospect from the list below to replace that player on the subsequent poll.

If there is a tie in the Top 10, there will be a run-off and the losing prospect will be returned to the pool for the next vote. Outside the Top 10, the tie will hold, the two highest Adds will be added and we'll move on.

PROSPECT RANKINGS
In the past, we've also done skater-only and goalie-only threads, as well as aggregate-type of rankings. If someone is interested, they are welcome to inherit that responsibility.

It was probably worse before the 2013 draft, but I just don't remember it that well.
I would think it had to have been. It is definitely thinner than recent years but practically speaking might yield as many or more contributors considering how many of the Murray picks did not pan out.

Around 2010-2013 things were pretty thin. Given that four of the top 6 voted players are now up with the team and five out of the top 9 have been up and might be in the big club lineup to start next year is a bit of cause for optimism. Similarly, the breakthrough of UPL this season, the revelation of Laaksonen... there is some silver lining to this group even if there isn't the sort of dominant bluechippers at the top of it.

Gonna go with Leier because he's been pretty good in Rochester, has a nice shot and is a shootout wizard. Not sure he ever makes it but he's nice to have for now. Dougherty has been solid all season too so I won't fault anyone for picking him.

I'd love to say Oglevie but unfortunately he's been injured almost the entire season, so there really isn't much of anything to go off of.

The top 13 is a nice group of players, no blue chippers but some good depth. At this point though, the crop is getting very thin. I guess I will go with Oglevie even though he was hurt most of the year. Don't really see much NHL upside for any of these guys.
