Well, you are as good as CSR Scouts but 18 teams decided that he would be the 31tst defenseman drafted. Far from a TOP 10 of D-Men as you predicted.

Still think you know that much? ;)
I predicted where he would be listed by CSR.....draft day anything can happen as we saw......kid has some upside so I wish him luck.......where you are drafted means jack shit ...it's what you do next...interesting where he plays next year......he would be better off to stay at Ulysse as that league is stronger than midget aaa

A lot of Q teams avoided drafting guys they were convinced they couldn't get to join the Q. Odd how the W and O usually see guys like that still go in round one, with teams hoping they can make the case to change their minds. Guess the Q this year had a few players nobody thought were going to go Q.

Other then Goobie in nets, which was a no brainer for them, i thought the Islanders had a brutal draft. Didn't get anything that i see helping the team in the near future which is a disappointment considering they had 4 picks in the top 50

I personally do not usually like their drafting but like you said Goobie was a no brainer pick but they also go Luke Vardy who I think is going to be an amazing two way defender...Ryan Green was a solid pick and I think they made a good pick in him...Justin Gill is an ok player, I find when the going got tough in the games I saw of him he disappeared but could have been the games I saw.

Greene could be a steal, but all that depends what route he takes and I agree Vardy is a solid d man, I had heard that the player they wanted was a local kid but when it came down to selection Hulton thought he would be available at a later pick even when being told he wouldn't and of course kid went to Rouyn Noranda 5-6 picks later. Might not be a big deal to other teams but i know for a small market like Charlottetown it is huge to have local talent on your team!

I actually think it's a pretty strong draft for Charlottetown.

Goobie is a solid pick. Gill at 32 may be a slight reach but he's a potential second line center eventually, he's a solid player. I had Vardy way higher than 49. Greene, is he reports, will be a high-end QMJHL player. McQuaid at that spot is a steal, and I think Chabot is a massive steal as well. Massimo Gentile is a risky pick but could pay off. Only pick I really don't like and thought was too early is Boyd, but even then he's a fine prospect.

What happened to Gentile? Was he injured at some point in the last year?

Didnt want to make a new thread but just wondering if anyone knows what the requirements are for players playing at the U17 tournament. I know that you have to be on a major junior roster, but what about players that go D1 route, are they eligible ?

Thanks in advance
