Brantley nailed a dude in the dugout with a foul ball

And now the Astros have something going against Ottavino

I passed on 4K on prime day.

Will reconsider in a couple of years.

When I came home from hockey and said “MLB Playoffs” into the remote, it kept telling me I couldn’t watch because it’s in 4K. Had to find the channel the old fashioned way.

This is gonna probably be a very unpopular post but I think we should go the Nationals route and add a big time starter like they did with Corbin. Obviously it would come at the expense of one of our bats.

Wouldn't even be the worst thing to have 5 established starters just give guys extra days rest when there is an off day.

I feel a lot better than most about Sale/Price/Eovaldi not being finished and still having some good pitching left in them.

Can't believe how bad Houston has been this series. NYY better take this gift and win tonight.

Analytics are great, and have a place in all sports. But you can't 100% rely on them like it seems Boone has through 2 games this series.

That's exactly right. Use them to get a statistical advantage you can possibly exploit, but even then, it's just playing with the odds and you can still fail. Which is why I was so adamant over my view of the Dodgers series.Roberts made some weird moves, but given he'd followed the analytics over the last few years, it's laughable to say all the miscues were because he decided to use his gut and threw the advanced stats away.

Molly Knight, who wrote an entire book about the Dodgers organization, wrote this in her piece about last night:

"There’s a huge misconception that Dave Roberts is some sort of analytics puppet. But his late-inning playoff blunders have nothing to do with analytics. They’re all gut. Which is terrifying."

No, Dodger fans — you did not deserve to have the season...

For the Monday crowd who might feel like engaging Lonnie's latest baseball thread troll job.

In the snippets of the 4 or 5 Cardinals games I've seen this postseason, Ozuna stands out as a butcher in the field. He won a Gold Glove in 2017, but half the time it looks like he has no idea where a ball is going.

Got a good arm but his athleticism has taken a down turn and he’s pretty bad out there these days
