Bergevin said it at the press conference. It looked like a tactic, like, "why match when he wants to play here anyway?" but if aho's agent is saying it... Bleh, what a terrible spot for Carolina to be in. They might have to give him up. Either that or keep him for a year and then trade him for the moon.

The agent said he "believes" Aho wants to play in MTL. Could have just been a way to force Carolina's hand or it could be the case and they want to discourage CAR from matching, but it looks like they're going to match anyway
