I know it's probably been mention millions of time, but this will be the first time the Indy 500 will be broadcast on NBC in the states.

It makes me wonder what ABC is broadcasting today, since they carried the Indy 500 for years going back to the 1970s.

I checked, it is a bunch of infomercials (Cindy Crawford and crepy skin etc) followed by the Gran Prix of Monaco at 2:30 CDT.

Is anyone still following the series? Some really bone headed driving the last few races. Newgarden hanging on for the championship.

2020 driver update:

Marcus Ericsson leaves ArrowSPMMcLaren as it's now known as to go to a third entry at Ganassi with Dixon/Rosenqvist; Ericsson had been the interim driver of the renumbered 7 for Robert Wickens after the injury at Pocono

Alonso and McLaren will try again at Indy.

I grew up in Indianapolis so I followed Indy racing for a while then stopped when I moved to TN 20+ years ago. I started following Indy again this past season. I like the speed and the more level playing field vs F1.

Were the Detroit races just an exhibition? I understand the season has been jumbled but I really don't know what is going on.

I like the idea of the new safety equipment, the aeroscreen, especially when they are running 200 mph at Texas.

The Detroit races they showed were from last year.
