It's almost kind of boring in a counter-intuitive way knowing with 100% certainly who the Devils are taking in the first round.

I'm oddly more excited for the 2nd round.

I feel a bit bad for Kakko. He clearly wasnt comfortable in his interview yesterday - then again its not like that affects his play.

When asked about Jack two times in a row he commented on how there hed been many questions over the year about Jack and he just doesnt know. However he did compliment Jacks skating and said he likes the way he plays.

It was pretty damn awkward but he seems like a good kid

I can’t overstate how much of a momentous occasion we as Devils fans are about to witness. The day Jack Hughes starts his Devils tenure and we all get to watch it live. I believe that the hype for him has been soured because of his point totals in the last tournament which drew all of the debates with him and KK. What I saw there was not just 17 year old that had played a long season and multiple tournaments but a 17 year old that adjusted his game over just a few games to play his best against a stacked, star driven Russian team. Not often does a team draft a bonafide star player, who may very well be the face of USA hockey for 20 years, while getting fans out of their seats multiple times a game with jaw dropping plays. He is a player that will increase the young fan base and cause excitement from day 1. I truly believe that when we look back 15 years from now, this day will be known as a huge moment for our franchise. Welcome aboard Jack.
