There is lots of things to be excited in the Avalanche land these days. I am glad we picked Byram. It will be interesting to see if he makes it in Avs roster this season. #44.

If people don't want to go 3 years for Pavs, who do you target in FA? Lee? Simmonds? Why are we so concerned about the 3rd year? I've mentioned before Simmer could come cheap because of his struggles last year but at the same time the limited crop of players will make him demand more. Both him and Pavs serve a larger need than Lee IMO but I'd still like to land one of these guys + another top 6 guy in a trade with a cap-strapped team or in a Barrie deal.

I can’t believe it looks like the leafs will re-sign Kapanen and Johnsson. They really have to get rid of at least 1 of Kadri, Nylander or Marner, especially if they want to get a Dmen just to replace Gardiner.
