update on the 38 potentially: could this team go away entirely after this Sunday; there's a report saying the 38 Charter may be sold to Rick Ware Racing for 1 of their 3, or potentially 4 entries

the LONG rumored GMS Racing XFINITY effort will cease following Saturday's championship race; that's why GMS is returning to a 4 team truck effort; it is also expected that John Hunter Nemechek will be joining Front Row Motorsports full-time in the 36

Joe Nemechek will become NASCAR's Iron Man in career starts in all national touring series as it will be his 1186th start should he qualify for the truck race today.

Heads up for followers of this thread especially:

NASCAR has called a press conference for Champions' Week (12/3-5) TO announce the immediate future of the title sponsorship of the Cup Series, and whether it will be a rotational sponsorship; there are also discussions continuing as to whether the Championship weekend will be rotated as well, starting as soon as 2021

another change for the Truck Series coverage in 2020: Hermie Sadler exits Fox Sports for the same reason that ended Elliott Sadler's career, so that means a new pit reporter likely to be hired

2019 Rookie of the Year:

Cup: 8-Hemric;

XFINITY: 98-Briscoe;

GOTS: 17-Ankrum;

2 of the 3 will switch to different teams in 2020; no word yet on SHR bringing back the 00 XFINITY team or continuing the alliance with Biagi-Denbeste Racing, which ran the 98

2 spotters are now leaving NASCAR entirely: Joey Meier ended his 23 yr run with the Team Penske/Wood Brothers Racing among other pursuits; he'll join Junior Motorsports in a way, becoming the personal pilot for Dale Jr.

also thought to be exiting was Andy Houston, who's long association in the sport dates back to the Trucks and XFINITY Series and recently had been with RCR as the spotter for the famed 3 of Austin Dillon since the # returned several years ago; actually Houston will be staying as it turns out, joining Stewart Haas Racing and directing Cole Custer in his inaugural Cup season

after Tyler Reddick stated he wanted Derek Kneeland from the 42; Tony Raines is the new spotter for Kyle Larson

When does the 2020 schedule get announced?
rumblings about 2021 schedule by April 1st of 2020, the 2020 schedule was released in May, now the only caveat to 2020, is because of Tokyo and NBC Universal that's why the Pocono races were realigned to back to back days....

there's a mandatory break from July 4th to August 4th, because the last time races were flipped off NBCSN and sent to USA Network;

Cup schedule will be normal with the addition of Homestead-Miami going to March, but there will be a hold after the 2020 New Hampshire race weekend which is 7/19..... Michigan will now be the 9th of August;

XFINITY goes silent from the the 18th of July to the 1st of August; and even then CNBC gets the Iowa standalone race;

the new GROTS, isn't as affected since Fox Sports has that contract, unlike the XFINITY and Cup,

but the 2020 schedule has been out for roughly 6 months, even with the realignment and the Olympic delay

as previously reported; it is now highly certain, that the 38 car will be parked at Front Row Motorsports, as the those employees assigned to that car have either been released or left following Homestead Miami; it is now highly probable that the charter will be sold to one of the 3 Rick Ware Racing entries for 2020, even though that team has run 4 cars for much of the past season;

among those released is veteran crew chief Mike Kelley
