I used to say it was 14 runs but with the juiced ball, it should probably be 16 now. So that game in Philly was very far off the standards of a good ol' fashion clown pounding, let alone the new standards.

Rendon won the game for the Nats. Hard to believe they are going to let him walk.
They might not with the new masn money

Good game going on in Anaheim. The Angels just tied it in the 9th after the ball went through J.D. Martinez's legs.

Betts puts the Red Sox up in the 15th. His second homer of the game, 14 innings after the first one.

He, Bichette and Biggio were still a long way from being called up, too. lol.

After these two games against the Yanks the A's will only play 4 of their last 26 against teams over .500 (all in 1 series @ houston.) July and August were a guantlet schedulewise, so they need to take advantage of it. 5 against the Angels, 3 against the Royals, 6 against the Rangers, 4 against the Mariners, and 4 against detroit (1 suspended in the 8th w/ A's up 5-3).

A's need to go about 20-6 in that stretch.

That's baseball

Regular season is just too random. I always point out two Met seasons 1988 and 2015 11-1 vs LA lost to them in LCS. 0-7 against Chicago swept them in LCS. The Mets also went 2-7 vs the DBacks in 1999 and 2-7 against the Giants in 2000 and beat both in October. I want to say they were 1-8 vs St. Louis too in 2000
