The RBs have to do this. Their earning window generally does not exceed 8 years.

Can’t risk getting tagged until they run you into the ground.

Clowney isn't holding out cause he isn't under contract. But he wont be reporting til the week before the opener.

The Cowboys have a salary problem. They have metric tons of money tied up in their o-line, and they also need to sign all three of their QB, their RB, and their top WR. In reality, there's no way they can afford to pay all three. This is where the Zeke holdout comes in. Of the three, Zeke is the most expendable. As good as he is, he's already super high paid for a RB. Of the three positions, it's easiest to replace Zeke.

Wagner's in camp, although not participating in drills while not yet under contract. (Which is smart)
I prefer this by far to a holdout.

Great OL makes the skilled position guys look better because they have time or openings to do their thing. But it’s a hard salary cap and you can only afford to pay 10-12 players big money. Dallas also has a Dline that is pretty good and will want money too.

Michael Thomas doesn't need to be at camp anyways. Let some of the other receivers get some reps, because they need them.

While I agree with you on Zeke. (Regarding the tweet from Charles Robinson) There is no way Prescott or Cooper deserve to be paid in the top 3 at their position.

Nobody knows the full facts but rumor was Trent was unhappy with the medical staff and medical staff /injuries has been a huge factor the last few years

This isn't about money like most holdouts, it's about moral principle standing up for what you believe in against perceived bad training staff

Be interested to see if he ever plays here again

Leave it to Washington to find a way to make a bad situation with a player worse.

Instead of mending fences with left tackle (and team captain) Trent Williams or trying to trade him, Washington reportedly hopes that mounting fines, at $40,000 per day, eventually will get Williams to cave. Per a league source, it won’t work.

Williams continues to want a trade. He continues to want nothing to do with playing for Washington. And he continues to believe that the team’s training and medical staff mishandled the growth/tumor that was removed from Williams’ head earlier this year.

This is going well.

I honestly don't blame Williams at all from all that's come out on that impasse.

I don't care if the tumor was benign or not, that's the type of incompetence that can endanger one's health/life. I wouldn't trust that staff either after that.

**** you, Snyder.
