I get the argument for Blackwood, and if his performance last year really is indicative of how his career will go, I might be persuaded, but too many goalies start strong and then fall back. I’ll take the CHL defenseman of the year.

I feel like we never had a single prospect with the promise of ANY of our top 3 during those years. You could argue for some of the first round busts like Tedenby and Josefson, but I feel like even they lacked the promise and European pro hockey pedigree of Boqvist.
