I stand by my answer from the last two polls:

Vasy.

When we don't show up on offence or defense, he's the difference.

When we don't play defense, he's the difference.

When we win 1-0 and give up 40 shots on goal, he's the difference.

We lose Vasy, we become very, very, very mediocre due to Cooper's system.

Vasi is the real deal. Is he inconsistent at times? Sure, but that's a more rampant trend amongst starters than you'd think. Bishop set a really high bar when he was here, it's a crime that he's never won a Vezina.

Yes, but our PPG average during his starts was a lot higher. Plus he faced an lot fewer shots on average than Vasy on a per game basis.

We scored a lot more goals because we had to. The team turned it on and off regularly throughout the season, particularly in the second half. We turned it on more for Domingue because we had to. But it was there for Vasy too when he needed it. When the team REALLY didn't have it, in the playoffs, Vasy didn't have it either.

I think there's a good argument for him over Stamkos. I just don't think he's in Kucherov/Hedman territory just yet.

The whole team sucked in the playoffs, thank you very much Coach Cooper. Let's see what happens this year. I'm still pissed about last season.
