Schenn is pretty much the player everyone thinks Rutta is. Even though it was a short sample size Rutta was solid for us. As far as bottom pairing D go he isn’t too bad.

Not too sure why I’m even writing this out though since everyone has already made him into a scapegoat since he had a few bad plays.

I think apples to apples that Rutta is the better defender, but Schenn is the better fit. Schenn is rock solid on the boards and along the net, his problem was he had an awful first pass. Apparently he’s worked on that to the point that it’s above average, he will be a good option on defensive zone draws
