Pats release Hoyer. Not a huge surprise. I'm sure they tried to move him first for a late pick.

Kaare Vedvik was cut by the Vikings. Blew a draft pick on that one. Will try to get him on the practice squad.

He'll find someone, because that's what running backs do, but I don't think he's anything special.

No major surprises here.

I'm a bit surprised a team would admit a mistake that quickly but Vedvik was outplayed at both K and P. He was talked about as someone who could do both effectively but could do neither job with the Vikings. Another 5th round pick used on a specialist down the drain.

First round bust Treadwell also gone. The warning signs were there after his very first season but you obviously have to give players more than one year to show what they can do. I didn't need to see anything else after his second season though. The primary focus is lack of speed and separation but he still can't run clean routes and drops passes as well. He's awful at everything but gunner on special teams.

7th round pick Bisi Johnson is one of four WRs to make the team and he was a lock after the third preseason game. He looked good and was much more impressive than Beebe. I thought Zylstra would make it but they only kept four. I'm guessing they'll still add someone from another team.

I'm glad to see all of the young DL (Hercules, Holmes, Watts, and Johnson) make it.
