In similar fashion to a player like Romanov, Cozens' not elite on skill alone but can skate his way in and out of every situation he needs to. Combined with the high pace he plays at, it elevates his game more than raw skill would suggest.

The lack of finesse will likely prevent him from being a higher end #1 center but if you told me he'd be a 25-30 goal, 60 point do everything #1B, I'd believe it.
I'd say his shot is pretty near elite and his skating too. He has deceptive hands too.

I'm not too sure on his playmaking though. Haven't really seen this side of his game, but he does have 33 assists ?

Apparently Timmins is scouting Byram tho I would say it was probably Fonstad maybe in preparation of the TDL. He was seen at the PA vs Van game. But regardless I would be ecstatic if we can trade up for him.

Probably was Byram. I mean you can't just assume. If they miss the playoffs they could still win a lotto pick (see Carolina) and you wouldn't want to have not done your due diligence.

Or maybe I hope its to trade up. One scenario I can see happening is a trade b.w Car and Mtl. We know they wont pick a D. Maybe, at a certain range, they will be indifferent to the forward they draft. We can offer an incentive to trade down. But then again Byram is likely going top 5. If so forget about him.

Why wouldn't they want a D ? I doubt if Byram is tehre and they really love him they don't draft him. He's a LD anyway and they have no LD depth

Will be strange if the GM loves Byram when the owners hate Ds. What happens? The GM prob gets fired instantly lol.

Pretty much agree with nothing but the Guskov ranking.

You know who Guskov reminds me of ? Armia. There's talent in there, there's seemingly, everything that you'd want in a player, but it just never happens.

I thought his take on Suzuki and Harley were quite good. He said something interesting on the main board: said that Tomasino is a much better and more aggressive player than Kyrou was (away from the puck) in his draft year.

This draft is so shallow its crazy. Good top 50, but the quality goes down hard IMO.

There aren't as many big names like in previous years (in terms of really solid 2nd/3rd round dmen/forwards from the WHL/OHL) but i think there's some good hidden gems. The WHL usually has a bunch of quality under the radar dmen every year but it's pretty barren this year (a part from the big name guys). The Q has some nice forward depth this year, USHL also has some goodies. Dunno about the EU players tho.
