Haven't seen Max Guenette play, but he's got nice production for a 17YR old D playing on a bad Val D'Or team.

Looks interesting... my buddy pegs him as a potentially above average pro

Very strong

Struggles with consistency

Good size and frame, ability to impact game on both sides of the puck

Offensive minded but rarely leads the rush

Good at getting shots through traffic

Good poise under physical pressure and good at handling rolling pucks

Decision making can be questionable at times in terms of forcing passes or shooting when he doesnt have time

Projects as a 3rd pair DMan who can impact the game but will need to find a niche

This organization is really making it hard to be positive about this draft but we really are one of the better drafting teams so I have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Even if some of these picks really are puzzling.

Because ultimately judging draft day success on the day of is literally the worst possible time to do it.

Finally an 18 year old. This is the only pick we've made that I didn't find infuriating.

I wasn't mad at the Thomson pick or Sogaard. Thomson was my #1 at 32 but most people wanted Seider at 19 and he was gone at 6 iirc. Plus with the Fins showing good hockey internationally lately i was hoping we would take a good look at one.

For a team that endlessly hypes how many draft picks it has over the next 3 drafts, the first one was pretty damn underwhelming.

Pretty sad they didn’t roll the dice on Kaliyev/Brink/Lavoie at 32

sens drafting is overrated. they do nab a steal here and there but they make a ton of very obvious misses in the name of character.

Dorion is the Col. Sanders of drafting...apparently he has his own secret recipe (so just ignore all of the consensus ranking by that Bozo BobMc, and go right off the board whenever the mood strikes..).

Mmmmm...that crispy chicken is tasty!
Well bob mack is not a scout lol
