Alright, we're at 8 (could've been at 2 if we didn't get that meaningless win against Calgary...)

1. Hughes
2. Kakko

At 8 we're guaranteed one of Byram, Turcotte, Dach, Cozens, Krebs, Zegras at our pick. I'm fine with that

No guarantee we would of had the numbers that won the #2 spot, that's not how these draft lotteries work.

Either way we're getting a good player.

One thing to note is that the Blackhawks, who have the 3rd pick, have already got the best defensive prospects in the league. I doubt they pick Byram there.

Maybe Turcotte? Podkolzin?

My preference is to trade it. But we're still in a position to get Dach, Turcotte, or Cozens..

Draft Lottery Aftermath:
1. Devils
2. Rangers
3. Blackhawks
4. Avs
5. Kings
6. Red Wings
7. Sabres
8. Oilers
9. Ducks
10. Canucks

Only dropped one spot. This actually went well, considering that we didn't win. LA got bumped out, Anaheim didn't win, and most importantly Vancouver didn't win (they'd take over the pacific if they had both Hughes brothers).

My order of preference

Turcotte
Zegras
Byram
Dach
Podkolzin
Cozens

We are guaranteed to get one of these guys, seems like Podkolzon, Byram, and Turcotte most likely won't be there. Anyone other than these guys would be gross

1. Devils J. Hughes
2. Rangers K. Kakko
3. Blackhawks A. Turcotte
4. Avs B. Byram
5. Kings T. Zegras
6. Red Wings V. Podkolzin
7. Sabres P. Krebs
8. Oilers K. Dach
9. Ducks D. Cozens
10. Canucks C. Cauffield

That's my guess how the top 10 go.

I like 8.

It guarantees we have a shot at a guy I like and it's farthest enough back that the guys I don't really want will hopefully have been taken.

Give me Turcotte/Dach/Zegras/Krebs.
This. Cozens and Podkolzin worry me, but they should be taken by 8.

One of Turcotte, Zegras, Dach, or Krebs please.

Probably worth noting Turcotte was born about an hour outside Chicago and played there in Midget.

Would be a good fit for them too.
