Really? Look at the ties. Linden also just left and there is a vacant President position. The media has also commented that it's a "thin front office". An insider here has reported that no one wants to work for the family. Yet, here is the former cup winner in Chia being made available...

IMO, you're not worrying enough.

I don't like you anymore PG.
IMO you’re worrying too much, this ownership isn’t the best but they sure aren’t blind toward things happening around the league and on social media

You guys aren't factoring in the probability that Chia comes here to reunite with Benning...

It will take the new permanent GM time to fix what the mess in Edmonton. $72 million in cap commitments for 19-20 already on the roster. Don't think they should expect to contend next season.

Even after the 19-20 season, only $7 million of Manning/Kassian/Spooner come off. Still have Sekeras/Russell for $9.5 million.

They're in a worse position than the Canucks right now. They have McDavid/Draisaitl/Bouchard, we have Horvat/Pettersson/Boeser/Hughes/Demko. Which team will be able to fill out their supporting cast faster? This should be quite the race.

There's no doubt that Chiarelli's tenure was atrocious and his track record among the worst GM's ever.

But... does anyone actually believe that good leadership will replace him? They have a meddling ownership group just like us.

Adam Larsson's contract is really good, wouldn't include it here.

It's the incompetent leading the incompetent. Keith Gretzky is apparently a front runner for the GM role until they decide who to hire for good. Can't make this stuff up.

I just found out that Wayne's brother, Keith is with Oilers management somehow.
..and his name has been thrown into the pile of possible GM replacements.

Did Wayne just give him a job? Good lord..
