the eco-friendly concept is really cool. The idea that they're a unified set of team-logo emblazoned jerseys is kinda cool (though there is something to be said for all-star jerseys looking like they belong to their own event instead of just being off-color team unis).
The drab total black-and-white execution is super lame though. They don't need to be the whole spectrum like the Miami Marlins uniforms used to be, but they went to the trouble of making a multi-color event logo and then they can't even be bothered to put any of those colors into the jerseys. All they realistically had to do was make the thick-band gray stripes on the elbows and waist into one color per division.
Teal = Pacific
Red = Central
Orange = Metropolitan
??? = Atlantic (the only major colors left on the logo are black or a darker shade of teal, neither of which is ideal. I guess they could go for blue?)
Then you get a strong visual pop to represent each division so you can tell who's who no matter whether the team is wearing dark or light jerseys and you get some actual color into the concept.
The only other thing that irks me is that now our team's all-star jerseys have symmetrical elbow stripes and an actual waist stripe while our real jerseys don't.
