Twins/Yankees might truly be the only situation where things like the due theory and every dog has his day does not exist.

the closest equivalent to this may be when Boston Lost 18 straight playoff series to Montreal from 1943-1988

I mean, seriously, you think they would be due...... but apparently this is the one situation where that is unavoidable.

I thought logic went out the window when the Caps beat the Penguins 2 years ago, but here logic may never leave the window,

it is as if the baseball gods refuse to throw the Twins a bone ever

That's so much worse

The Twins may need like 25 exorcisms to get over this seemingly immortal playoff demon

Dear baseball gods,

please let the Twins play someone else in the playoffs for once sometime in the next 5-10 years.

seriously, if the Yanks had won the AL East in 2017, I am 100 percent convinced they would have won that AL WC Game if it was at Fenway

The Yankees got insanely lucky tonight with these insane plays or hard hit balls being hit directly at fielders. This is a team that is overall very bad defensively

Seriously, I feel like this would be 75 percent less painful if the Twins were swept by Houston.

outside of 2006 against Oakland, they for whatever reason cannot avoid one certain team.

at this point, the Twins will be sacrificing to the baseball gods for an opportunity to lose to someone else in October.

I also didn’t remember til someone just tweeted it that the Twins were lucky to even win the one series they won in 2002. Supposedly they were down to their last out trailing by 3 in game 5 and the next three guys reached then they hit a grand slam to go ahead

actually, they were leading in the 9th inning, got some insurance runs, and held off a furious rally.

Dear baseball gods,

please let the Twins play someone else in October at some time in the future.

I mean, you tease them with 101 wins and the HR record...... at least let them play the Astros, someone, ANYONE else.

we get it. The Twins cannot beat the Yankees. They have had enough attempts. Let them get a crack at someone else!

I highly doubt the Twins even make the playoffs next year. The Indians if they have a healthy rotation will win that division easily and I would assume Kluber and Carrassco will have better luck health wise in 2020. It’ll be almost impossible to not

nope, I think Cleveland has passed their expiration date as a contender. Their window is closed IMO

Because its the gambler's fallacy and not an actual thing that the Twins are due for lol

Yankees put out better teams than them every time. Its really not that dark or mysterious

I legit felt this time though because of the Yankees shitty pitching and the Twins offense this would go 5.
