After last night, I think this is pretty much over. At least Yankee fans can be happy they made it to the ALCS. I'm a Red Sox fan and my team didn’t even make the playoffs.

Life goes on, right?

Yankees best shot to get back in the series was Tanaka and he took the L. Astros dropping 3 straight doesn't seem likely

Boston won 4 world series in the last 20 years. More than anybody.

Are you just taking the piss out of Yankees fans in a weird way?

Not sure what you're upset about.

Boston and NYY are a welcome absence.

Are we sure Houston is good or is baseball so watered down that a team goes from 100 losses to 100 wins that quickly?

The Sox might have won 4 World Series in the last 15 years, but that doesn’t change that for the first two-thirds of my life they won NOTHING. I wish they could win every year.

In any event... although I freely admit that I can be an insufferable bastard at times, I’m sincerely just trying to emphasize.

Tonight’s game will likely be a baseball execution.

Finish the job, Astros.

And who cares if twenty years ago the Yankees were undoubtedly a more successful franchise than the Red Sox? Boston's been by far the best team with the possible exception of the Giants during their even year dynasty for the past fifteen years. Boston has bragging rights over the Yankees.

If you've been alive for multiple recent titles, it more than makes up for decades of despair prior to that. Hell, as a Cubs fan, one title made up for the prior three decades of my life as a fan.

An Astros/Nationals WS would be 80 percent strikeouts

This garbage of a team, complete waste of space, will give up and this series ends tomorrow.

Worthless turds.

I'm surprised at Stanton, doesn't seem like he wants to play at all.

Maybe he's slotted back in tonight, I haven't checked, but if he sits YET AGAIN, and the Yankees go out with a whimper, it can't bode well for his stay there.

This is not good news for the Asteos when they advance. To me Scherzer cancels out with Cole and I would favor Strasburg the way Verlander is pitching.

Are the people who were mad about Correa’s celebration also mad about the Yankees’ celebration there?

Yes. Both teams would be going full bullpen tomorrow in Game 6. Unless Cole comes in on 3 days rest, but I doubt it.

If you’re the Astros your goal now is to just try and get Paxton as worked as you can so that they have to use their best pen guys for 4-5 innings. I think Houston can just throw this game if they’re down 3-4 after 5 and just say we will get them tomorrow
