So per my post in the other thread, how about getting Kane from the Sharks, put him with Kadri? Will make life little harder for opposition to play against that line

If he can keep his emotions in check I wouldn't be opposed - although he did try to murder Sammy G last night so he might not be such a welcome addition.

On another note, Meier would also be a great player to add..but given his age and contract I doubt the Sharks let him go. He and Landeskog also have this random hate toward each other so that probably puts a kibosh on that possibility.

That's the thing though. He's one of those players you hate as an opposition but love having on your team. So instead of trying to murder someone on the Avs, he can be on the Avs and try to murder others. His playoff numbers aren't that great, but at least he kept his cool the entire playoffs last year.

Kane? Surely you jest.

As I've said, only a few players I'd absolutely question my Avs fandom if they acquired them, because they're that rotten. It's a short list: Hoffman, either guy named Kane, DeAngelo, DeSmith, and of course, Slava Voynov.

On top of everything else, that contract for Kane is an absolute stinker. No. Just...no. Let him rot in SJ along with the rest of those old-timers.

Really? Aside from Voynov and maybe Evander that's just ridiculous.

So that's a no on Kane?:sarcasm:

People here talk about guys like Kassian or Tom Wilson and call them "meatheads" and stuff like that. I'm sure those guys are the nicest guys off the ice and awesome friends and teammates.

Kane, not so much. He's a rotten, selfish, egocentric human being.

Avs used to have a player like Kane, his name was Calude Lemieux with only one big difference where Lemieux was a much better playoff performer, otherwise he was hated throughout the league and wasnt really that friendly with his own teammates

They are nothing alike. This isn't about Kane being annoying or hated on the ice. This is him being a shitty human being. The list of off-ice questionable things he has done is endless.

Even as recently as during the last playoffs he ran a $500k gambling debt in a Vegas casino and didn't pay them back. That's the kind of shit he does.

Did you feel the same way about Varlamov even after all the charges were dropped?

I didnt know about the DeSmith situation so I'll concede that one.

I've maintained I have mixed feelings about Varlamov. It was uncomfortable rooting for the guy to be honest. Again, my opinion, I speak for no one else on this.

Dropping charges doesn't really mean a ton when it comes to prominent athletes and criminal court cases IMO. They dropped all charges against Patrick Kane, but I remain steadfast in believing that mother f***ing slimeball did it.

Oh and Evander has multiple allegations of sexual assault, has run himself outta town twice now, and has alienated more than a few teammates. Great hockey player (like the other Kane) but (like the other Kane) not so good at life. The only thing I thought was complete and utter bullshit was the whole tipping-at-the-restaurant nonsense.
