So the two Blues Team Canada World Junior Showcase representatives go back-to-back in the rankings. I'm not so surprised that Laferriere got the spot, but I am surprised at how decisive it was. Laferriere accumulated 44% of total votes after a highly productive season last year with Cape Breton. Laferriere almost double his point totals and was considered the most impactful player on his team. Hopefully he builds upon this season to follow in the footsteps of Sammy Blais.

Onto #14, where I'm voting for Poganski once again.

Finally time for Walman. If he could get to a point where he could just play OK defense he could impact an NHL roster.

I did think about voting for Helt, though, just to make everyone have to look and see who the f*** voted for Helt.

Going of the board a bit and throwing a vote towards Polei.

I doubt that he amounts to more than a Nolan type grinder, but IMO his readiness for the NHL should be recognized around this point. Upside carries some weight, but there’s also some value to actually getting to the show. I think Polei has more of a shot to actually play in the NHL than the guys left on the list.

Tucker is my choice. If he improves his skating any more, he could carve out a role as a 5/6 defenseman. He's one of the most improved prospects in our CHL group (although I ranked Laferriere over everyone on this list from Fitzpatrick down for that reason).
