Hockey News has Jason Robertson as one of the NHL's fastest falling prospects.

They provide no actual reason besides skating. They even acknowledge that he’s done well in the AHL.

Their “scouts” probably haven’t watched a single game of his this year.

Only 1 point in his first 3 NHL games (27 point pace for the season) - clearly a bust - trade him for whatever they can get before his value drops to nothing :sarcasm:

Lol @ Matt Larkin. I think his "scouts" are all in his head. That ranking makes zero sense considering the rookie year he had.

Though to be fair, he had Oettinger as the #4 riser.

Robertson is also 5th in rookie scoring for the AHL, leads his team by 7 points. Unless you are expecting him to lead the AHL in points after leading the OHL I don't see how you can be dissapointed by his season, especially after how poor the Texas Stars started out and overall aren't a super strong team. On that same point Oettinger has arguably the best rookie goalie stats in the AHL on a not great team, both of them pretty much had a season of exactly what you want out of them.

This where we put draft talk? I dunno. Who cares. I’m bored.

McDonnell had an interesting quote in the Athletic today.

“There is a kid in Quebec that I just kept missing. He was injured and then he was suspended; when you live 10 hours away, it’s not like you can just hop in a car and go see him. You have to plan a schedule, and my schedule for him was last week of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs, and we missed that. So you have to rely on people in that area, and you work as a team.”

Somebody in the comments said Hendrix Lapierre, but he hasn’t been suspended. Any guesses?

Dawson Mercer was suspended in November and injured in late February.

He was the only name on the suspension list this season that stuck out to me as a possibility. Apparently the injury in February was wrist injury.
