I voted Makar but Byram (if he makes the team), Kadri and Donskoi are also guys that I'm looking forward to watch. I hope Rosen gets a look as well.

Looking forward to Rantanen's (admittedly large) ass in the lineup right away

For me it’s Byram, he’s the most notable player we haven’t seen against NHL competition and besides from seeing snips from YouTube my viewings of him are very limited. After that, it’s a combination of Kadri, Donskoi and Bowers (if he counts as an addition).

I'm looking forward to seeing how Kadri and Byram (in pre-season at least) look but this is a pretty easy question. Not sure I've ever looked forward to a new player on the Avs more than Makar.

I am a bit curious how Calle Rosen looks though. I think he may be a pleasant surprise.

So damn excited for this season, holy shit. So many things to look forward to this year. From Makar in the NHL, Kadri in an Avs sweater, Francouz getting his shot in the NHL, seeing what Jost can bring in his 3rd season and what Burakovsky can do in a new uniform.

And then not in the NHL we still have a tonne to look forward to as well. Byram dominating the WHL(Or perhaps he's an NHL guy as well), Newhook's first season of College hockey, Timmins hopefully being 100% clean bill of health and able to become a legit Top prospect again for us. Bowers, Kaut, Werner, Timmins, and LOC all with the Eagles. Kovalenko likely getting more minutes in the KHL. Annunen getting a chance to see regular action in Finland.

Oh boy I cant wait.

I'm 1.5 hours out of Irvine where the rookie showcase is being held and I'm really considering sucking it up and making the drive. Waiting for a roster before deciding but Byram alone is probably worth it.

There are a few good options to choose from in the poll, which just shows how fun it is to be an Avs fan right now, but I have to go with the obvious one in Makar. I can't wait to see what he can do in a full season after gaining some valuable NHL experience already.

As for prospects to watch in camp, I'm actually more interested in and curious about Timmins than I am Byram right now.

I'm most excited to see Rosen and Burakovsky I think. With all the other guys I know more or less what we are getting and what to expect, but those 2 are wild cards that could range anywhere from key components to non factors

We will miss the playoffs.
No but the goaltending is scary.
Everyone pining for Frank but his stats were pretty pedestrian in the A for someone with so.much experience

2.68 and .918 aren't that great for someone with his experience

And Grubauer who knows , if he is anything like most of last year then I hope the 3rd stringer we have yet to acquire is good.

Huh. And here I was under the impression that you didn't find much value in Tyson Barrie.

It's because we need Rants to keep the ice clean for Mack while he's falling down all the time looking for calls against.

I hope he breaks that habit once and for all. Was great the 1st half last year and then when the big line was separated he started that habit all over again.

Hopefully he gets his legs strong enough to last a whole season this year although I see an entitled acting Rants holding out honestly

I read it as BW and their friends ("We...") will not be able to view the playoffs, based on their current plans, and thus "... will miss the playoffs". Otherwise that would be considered trolling, and BW doesn't do that

Nahh, I don't think Rants wants to hold out. And obviously Joe wants to sign him, despite Rantanen becoming a better version of Scott "Hartnell Down" Hartnell.

Ahh, that makes sense. Wonder what they're up to where they're gonna miss the entirety of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
