As per league Media Notes the summer trade-freeze will be lifted Thursday August 1st.

Garreffa off to Ottawa in a deal for three third round picks. It's a nice add for the 67's in my opinion. I'm curious as to how Rangers fans feel about paying through the nose for Hawel, only to have Garreffa return. He put them in a tough spot.

Billy Constantinou also went to the Soo for two 4ths and a 3rd. That's certainly not what Kingston had in mind when they made him the centrepiece of the league's biggest trade last season.

Seems to me that Kingston had recouping picks in mind when trading Robertson and Paquette.
