Stinks they couldn't have done this at the deadline as a trade for future considerations instead of a loan. Tampa is at 50/50 contracts while Carolina is at 41/50. Would've been nice to keep one open for a potential NCAA free agent.
On the other hand, having the extra goalie still under contract comes in handy if there's a bunch of goalie injuries. (see Carolina, or Vegas in their inaugural season)

Guttman was named NCHC Forward of the Week after pacing all conference skaters with six points on three goals and three assists last weekend. The Los Angeles, Calif. native and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect recorded two goals and one assist on Friday, then added his NCAA leading sixth game-winning goal and two helpers on Saturday. Guttman claimed a conference-leading three power-play points and +4 rating. He went 21-13 in the faceoff circle.

Who was our last NCAA Prospect to play in the NHL? JT Brown?
Brown played his first NHL game at the end of 11-12. Sustr played his first NHL games at the end of 12-13.

Matt Peca looks like the last guy, although Sustr was the last regular. Peca played 10 games in both 16-17 and 17-18.

Hat trick for ABB and the Crunch win

Noticed Ross Colton also wearing an ‘A’ tonight. He’s 2nd on the Crunch in pts and 1st in assists with 30.

Witkowski played 12 games for the lightning this year.

As for Guttman and Walker they're still years away. Colton should be the next to see the NHL and I wouldn't have any issue with him getting a serious look at 4C next year. Move Paquette for picks and let Stephens and Colton be the two bottom 6 C's.

Witkowski's debut was 12-13. I forgot about him because he left and came back.

ABB looks about as ready as he is gonna get for the NHL. His challenge will be the same as Volkov in not being physically overwhelmed by the competition. But to ABB's credit he has more skill than just about every other player you'll find in the AHL too. If he can get to maybe about 180 lbs he should be fine

The issue Barre-Boulet is going to have is Jon Cooper. Not his size or his skill but how he will be deployed and how much slack he's given. Barre-Boulet needs to be in the top 6 to be used properly and he also needs to be allowed to make mistakes. Cooper hasn't shown that he let's young players get top 6 time right away and he has a short leash on them if they have some defensive issues. If Cooper let's him play like Groulx has been then he'll be successful, if he gives him the Verheaghe treatment there won't be much difference.

Fair enough there. Volkov got some chances in the top 6 but never really made the best of it. It's hard to tell if ABB would be afforded the same opportunity. But if he were I'd like to say he'd make the most of it

Monday was the deadline for teams to swap or loan out players at the AHL level, and Crunch general manager Stacy Roest said no moves were made. Roest said he talked with a few teams about possibilities, but ultimately decided to leave intact a Syracuse roster that’s earned points in 11 of its last 12 games.
Roest said Crunch goalie Mike Condon, who had been on loan to Charlotte of the AHL, re-injured his hip with that team and was brought back to Tampa Bay organization for evaluation. Roest said Scott Wedgewood and Spencer Martin remain the Crunch’s netminders.

Moncton wins 8-1 in Fortier's return to Baie-Comeau. Fortier collects only 1 assist in the lopsided win, but is still named 1st star so he can be honored again after the game

Tavernier played in the Hlinka and U-18 tournaments for Finland but never made their Wjc team.

If we end up trading a player or two this summer will be interesting to see who makes it out of camp. Volkov and ABB probably get the biggest look. I dont get to see the Crunch play so no clue actually. Makes me wonder how Katchouk and Raddysh are performing this year or what kind of NHL players they could be if they are successful at making the team at some point.

Raddysh now has 18 goals, which matches what he had all of last year.

He started off slow. Only 5 goals up til new years eve. 13 goals in the 27 games since.

Cajkovic has missed the past 4 games. Injuries have been a problem for him the whole season.

Cole Koepke has 16 goals so far for 5th ranked UMD. That's 2nd most in the NCHC. He has 8 goals in his last 11 games

I'm not sure why they aren't using YouTube Premiers. Maybe attendance concerns, which can be remedied by promoting it.
