Sean couturier is HOW OLD?!?
I doubt we'll see him play a game this season. They probably want him to get some game practice in the AHL first.
Well that ain’t happening.
I highly doubt he sees any action this year. They’ll test him out in the AHL before he suits back up in the NHL just to test conditioning and competitiveness.
I hope players don’t put a target on his back...
AHL is cancelled.
If the NHL resumes but Patrick doesn't play in the round-robin/playoffs, his next game would be a 20-21 NHL preseason game.
I personally doubt he ever plays again for the Flyers.
You take that back. You take it back right now.
Yeah, that's why I said we won't see him play another game this season. They won't use the playoffs to get him back into game shape.
Every player on the ~30 man squad is going to have to go thru a training camp to get into game shape before the games start. Patrick is no different, unless there's been some setback I'm not aware of since Flahr said this a month ago.
you know some scrub from another team wants to put his exclamation point on NPs return with a monster hit...
In all honesty, if NP is scared (or worse- if he CANT) take some contact then that’s another bridge the flyers have to cross.
What also worries me is that Fletch may see the same thing you do and play Gabriel or some other plug on his line so no one does take a run. Not like Gabriel would do much, but it hinders on what type of contact they try to throw at NP.
He’s a Baby
Playing the guy responsible for one of his worst hits to the head on his line would be a bold strategy
That’s absurd. Gabriel doesn’t intimidate anyone and wouldn’t prevent anything.
So with the 24 team nonsense being approved, what are we thinking for our Game 1 lineup? My best guess based on our lines in our last few games plus adding healthy players.

Hagg not in the lineup? Thats adorable. I love your positivity.
Well, in our last game Ghost was paired with Braun on the 3rd pair and Hagg filled in for Myers on the 2nd pair with Sanheim. Myers is healthy now, and Ghost should also be 100%. I can see them going back to Ghost.
Maybe Hagg blew up to 220 pounds??
Imagine this team with Lindblom and Patrick in the lineup. Our top 9 would be unreal and our 4th line would be a 3rd line on many teams.
We would have a 5th line most teams would take as their 4th line if those 2 were healthy.
I think about it all the time. Patrick looked like he was set for a breakout year, and Oskar was the team's best LW until he left the lineup. He figured out how to score on top of everything else he does right (like Couts). Losing two young top 6 fwds is so frustrating.
Absolutely. The Lindblom-Couturier-Konecny line was fantastic this year. In a way Lindblom really is the LW version of Couturier. Making everyone around him better.
And with Patrick you could see at the end of last season that he has all the tools to be a special player.
I don’t think the Flyers will throw Patrick straight into playoff hockey after not playing for over a year. Let him reset in the fall or whenever the 20/21 season ramps up
Giroux - Couturier - Voracek
Lindblom - Hayes - Konecny
JVR - Patrick - Farabee
Laughton - Grant - Aube Kubel/Raffl/Pitlik/Frost
LOL thats too deep.
Pretty funny to think about how that's probably the deepest forward group in the league (maybe Tampa?) and we've seldom had a Top 5 pick to do it.
Suck it, Toronto.
