It was 3-1 going into the 3rd period. Then Timrå scored a bunch of goals quickly, I guess they just gave up and didn't bother changing goalies.

Last season Larsson and Eliasson looked most promising goalies. This season it's Gylander and Petruzzelli.

These will swing up and down many times on the next 5 years. Guys go hot and cold, lose the confidence, develop a new technique. It's the typical goalie career path. You don't know who will pan out, just collect as many lottery tickects as you can.

He's having one heck of a junior season and playing like one of the best goalies in the NCAA this year

20-10-2... 2.08 GAA... .917 SV... 2 SO

He finished the regular season with 33 points (12+21) in 55 games. 1st in the league for d-man goals, 13th for points.

Don't think this has been posted yet. Biel "bought" Van Pottelberghe and he signed a 2 year deal without NHL clause with them.

Rather surprising given the fact that he's pretty dominant in the NLA and knowing about Detroit's goalie situation.

Probably wants to pull a Merzlikins though...overcooking himself in the NLA worked out pretty well for Elvis.
