Watching more of him, he does remind me of a young Tatar.
Mastrosimone promoted to top line tonight
Mastrosimone with Zegras could be insane
Kotkansalo playing 3C and Phillips promoted to the 2nd line, but playing RW as well
It looks like Mastrosimone's game is being streamed tonight.
edit: and Kotkinsalo is apparently still a center now.
it looks like I made a mistake with the boston university stream. They stream through a third party (CBS) and it looks like they charge for it. Sorry folks.
Not sure if its something anyone is interested in, but I saw Kris Draper at the Charlottetown Islander vs Rimouski Oceanic game last night.
He has been following Lafreniere around the maritimes
Really hoping we get the chance to draft this guy. If we don’t, then there’s a lot of great centers to choose from.
What is it worth though? A 2nd round pick really shouldn't be playing juniors in Europe except maybe in Russia. It's not like Ässät is any good anyway. Why isn't he playing Liiga? There's nothing he could possibly learn playing Juniors...otherwise that would be somewhat concerning.
if you click the international link you can watch for free, even if you are in the states.

We kick off a weekend series tonight in Orono. And @Ethanlaphillips gets to play (sort of) close to home! : 7:30 p.m

He's going the NCAA route and this is the highest level he can play while retaining eligibility.
Thanks. Didn't know that. It's stupid though. Too many stupid rules in North American hockey not really helping players development.
People say this so often on here, and I don't think it's true at all. Especially for a defenseman, where the learning curve can take years. There's plenty of stuff for him to work on.
Watching Breggren again today, doing a lot of the little things well, good zone entries, drew a nice penalty and is back checking well. Feel he needs to be a lot more aggressive offensively.
...not playing against some random finnish kids. Lost year.
Those are NCAA rules and apply to athletes of all sports.
Doesn't make it any better. Against the spirit of sport.
The NCAA "student athlete" stuff really is hogwash though. The only reason that the NCAA has that "student athlete" rule is so that it won't have to pay worker's comp to injured athletes.
Edit: here's an article on it by Pulitzer Prize winning author Taylor Branch
I'd be curious to know how many minutes Mastrosimone played tonight. I think I heard his name more than any other player. that being said it looked to me like he still needs a lot of work.
Oh, definitely. Couldn't agree more.
Yall forgotten about my boy Ethan Phillips now playing on the 2nd line. Thats 3 Detroit players on the first 3 lines
He needs to get his first SHL goal though, it will help him release the stress to score.
Tyutyaev in his debut had 3 assist ,as a center
Separate names with a comma.
