The one thing that always amazes me is the love some of these hideous pads get. I understand they aren't jerseys but its almost as if most throw out the high standards they have for jerseys when it comes to pads and gear and are totally fine when goalies stray away from the simplicity most seem to like in jerseys. Its almost the opposite with pads, the more they look like some 12 year old Ed Hardy fan designed them with MS Paint the more praise they get. Maybe its just me, but Id love to see a consistent simplicity in hockey/sports uniforms which helmets and pads are part of. And curved, triangular shapes with several colors are not "simple", its practice squad equipment.
