How do helicopters not have anti crash warning? Hyundai's have it.
Apparently the copter was equipped with something like that. Allegedly it has a “pull up” warning when you were close to hitting something. Apparently the pilot cleared the first mountain by 100 feet

Apparently it had one but he was going so fast it didn’t matter. Got lost in the fog, gained altitude and barely cleared one ridge, probably didn’t appreciate there was a second ridge ahead, descended without slowing down and then smacked into the second mountain.

It’s not the anti crash warning I don’t understand. It’s the lack of gps modeling flight control and navigation data that would have told the pilot exactly where he was and what the terrain below and ahead was. It must exist for choppers. I would think. All I know is that navigating a boat in the fog amongst shoals and traffic there are programs - integrating gps and radar - that make it nearly impossible to collide with anything if you pay attention to the instruments. I’d think that for flight it would be even more useful to have something like that in 3D.

Can’t really compare them quite - both are or were such uniquely dominant talents. I mean how do you decide? Have them play 1 on 1, first one to 11 baskets wins? Two incomparable players.

You can absolutely can. People have been ranking the best NBA players for years. It’s a pretty well agreed opinion that Lebron is a much better player then Kobe.

Hell most people don’t even think he is the best Laker ever.

That's up to Personal opinion and it has nothing to do with whether someone likes Lebron or not, Eddy. :teach2:

They ARE two totally different types of players.

Kobe is more of the MJ-mold (see vid I provided above for evidence)

Lebron is a mold unto himself as there is no one to compare him to.

That's why I said Lebron will never be to the Level of MJ because his playing style is NOT MJ-like as Kobe.

There's never been another power forward who didn't develop a midrange jumper until midway through his career?

The dude is a product of dominating a transitional period in the NBA. He'd get shattered in the paint in prior generations and can't hang beyond the arch now.

He's a product of a combination of his IQ, generation, and genetics.

A little Tribute to how much of an Heir-Apparent to MJ that Kobe was (and Lebron will never be) :

Glen, you said it earlier yourself but for a different reason...

NOW, is not the time to have a Kobe l vs LeBron **** measuring contest. Let it go.

Yes, I said it earlier for a DIFFERENT reason.

Why are you are throwing that back at my face?

I just posted a good TRIBUTE to Kobe.

Can't we focus on THAT? :dunno:

Wow, man.

Rutgers has thirteen more games plus the Big Ten tournament before Selection Sunday, I wonder how many wins it will take for them to get in, maybe six? They're not going to get the Syracuse exemption where they make the tournament at 18-13.

They'd also better keep making hay this month before the February gauntlet of six ranked teams plus road games at Penn State and Wisconsin in their last nine games.

From what little I know of college basketball I'd say their most realistic road in is:

-Beat Nebraska, Purdue and Northwestern at home
-Steal at least one on the road among Iowa, Penn State or Purdue
-Take two of the three home games against Illinois, Michigan and Maryland
-Win at least one Big Ten tournament game

Beating Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan or Ohio State on the road would be a tremendous bonus.

First two off the board...but boy they're starting to feel the pressure the last couple of these home games, they barely got over the finish line after big leads against Nebraska and Purdue. Still maintain the 15-0 at home though. Probably need four more wins in their last ten games (including a B10 tournament game) to get in and they only have four more home games left plus the big 'road' game at the Garden this weekend against Michigan.

Magic disagrees with you.

I'll roll with his opinion.

I'm also going to throw it out there that Lebron isn't even the 3rd best player to suit up for that franchise.

If you're just comparing careers Lebron is right up there with Magic and Wilt (who came to the Lakers at the end of his career), probably above Kareem though it's debatable if you really want to push it. You can't really argue West or Baylor above Lebron in career accomplishments as a player. Love Shaq and he was dominant in his own way but he couldn't shoot free throws or defend outside the paint.

All this over-the-top arguing with Lebron, Magic, Kobe et al is silly though, we're splitting hairs and talking about all all-time great players. They're all on the same planet in their own galaxy.
