Unsurprisingly, City is destroying United early and have had several chances to widen their lead.

If United scored it might make it an interesting tie, but that doesn't look remotely likely at this point.

Great strike by Matic. United had to score first. Rode the storm early then nicked a goal. Front 3 need to be better though.

United trying to play out from the back is so painful. Short passing under pressure is basically the weakest skill in their backline but yet they're trying to build out under pressure repeatedly.

Matic gets himself sent off for taking a really, really, really stupid foul.

Zero chance to even be near that tackle.

Gundogan definitely made the most of that and it's an arguable dive, but Matic has to be smarter that that to even be near it.

Everything is starting to break right so City. They are almost at full strength. They are getting their usual luck in the cup draws.
Glad LFC have such a big points lead in the PL. They are about to go on a monster streak.

Good effort but the damage was done in the first leg. Matic's first yellow was harsh, Otamendi didn't get one until the 87th minute.

Lingard and Martial were crap. Fernandes could make a big difference. Fred and Matic were good again.

Yea the first was kinda weak, but he also had a couple warnings before his second booking, so it's entirely on him.

I agree that a few City players should have picked up one earlier, but that's pretty standard City play. Pep has them drilled very well at toeing the line on bookings and putting in a ton of challenges either early in play or making it look accidental so they avoid cards.

OGS said Mata gave the free kick to Fred because at the previous day's training session Fred had been blasting those in at a lethal rate. It might have gone in had it not hit the wall.

Great ball in there, Villa deserves that after the corner.

Also Stones feet looked lost there.
