Can you imagine if you were 99% good enough to make $700k per year, but 1% short so instead you make $70k per year? Yeesh.

Boucher got a one-way with the Canucks in 2017-18, made $400,000 last season, and is scheduled to make $500,000 this season. The NHLPA did a good job of flattening out salaries between the AHL and NHL.

That said, the comparison is more like if Boucher was just a little better, he'd be scoring 25-30 goals a season in the NHL and making $3-5M dollars instead of the $500,000 he's guaranteed this season. I have no doubt Boucher could score 15-20 goals in a full-time NHL role, but he's such a disaster otherwise that it's hard to justify playing him.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. So guys like Tennyson and Lappin typically make $400k - $500k?

Boucher probably has the highest AHL salary in the league. He makes $450,000 as a minor leaguer but the Canucks have to pay him at least $500,000. A lot of players now have this kind of deal that guarantees their salary up to a point.

Lappin was guaranteed $250,000 last season on a minor league salary of $225,000, but since he played 11 games last season he probably beat that.

Tennyson was guaranteed $400,000 on a salary of $350,000. He'll likely beat that - he's been here 11 days which is $43,000 in salary, whereas he would've made $21,500 in the minors over that time.

It used to be that players who made more than $105,000 as minor leaguers couldn't be recalled without being exposed to re-entry waivers, which was a very stupid rule.

Except Boucher's minor league salary is 450k.

Also the standard for top tier AHL players is to have a very high AHL salary with more money guaranteed. For instance, Boucher likely has 500k guaranteed to make it more likely that the Canucks call him up at some point.

If he stays in the AHL he's making 500k anyways. Might as well give him a chance for a week or so on your NHL team if you're going to end up paying him the extra 50k regardless.

With the Snuggerud signing, Binghamton now has 10 defenceman on the roster.

Anyone know which guys are banged up?

Nice - finally a solid win for the B-Devs. Didn't get heavily outshot, held on to a 3rd period lead and extended it. Would be nice to see more offense in general, but some of these guys are adjusting to North American hockey.

Looks like they are very top heavy in terms of scoring. Seney Conner Street combine for 11 goals. The rest of the team has 9.

4 players at a ppg. Yet only 2 more guys have over 2 points.

The B-Dev's are getting near nothing in terms of point production from there d-men.

Joe Morrow leads the D in points with 2 assists.

Couple other guys have 1 point.

Yeah, that top line has been providing all the offense.

I’d love to see someone else in the lineup for Baddock. Guy brings absolutely nothing to the table.
