Clearly a new trend is the multi-year AHL contract. Not a new concept, but it's obviously an arms race for talent out there. Never seem so many, and the current season is not even over yet.

Motte was under contract with Iowa

I've added the following players to the UFA list :
Alex Kile (Laval)
Hunter Fejes (Manitoba)
Brent Pedersen (Manitoba)
Émile Poirier (Manitoba)
Ryan White (Manitoba)
Joe Pendenza (Milwaukee)
Craig Wyszomirski (Ontario)
Nick Moutrey (Rockford)
Mark Cooper (San Antonio)
Scott Sabourin (Stockton)

They've played at least 25 games with a single team this season but they were never officially signed to a AHL contract. I've exceptionally included Émile Poirier (24 games), who was listed on the Moose's roster all season long but missed large portions of the season due to injuries.

Sifers 'proud' to end his career as a Comet
After 13 seasons and over 800 professional regular season games between the NHL, AHL and Germany's DEL, Comets defenseman Jaime Sifers has officially called it a career.

The 36-year-old blueliner retired from professional hockey, with his last game coming in the form of a 4-3 shootout win for the Comets over the Syracuse Crunch at the Adirondack Bank Center on Sunday. Sifers spent the last two seasons with the Comets in Utica. Injuries shortened his first campaign in blue-and-green, but he suited up in 70 out of 76 of the Comets' games this year. In total, he played in 107 regular season games for Utica (five more games during last year's playoffs), where he totaled four goals and 15 assists to go along with an even +/- rating.

Tolvanen is returning to his native Finland, despite posting impressive numbers (2.32 GAA and .928 Save%) in his 6-game stint with the Crunch.

Pospisil was under contract with Toronto (Marlies) but did not play any games this season.

One (very) minor correction to San Antonio's UFA list: Jared Thomas was traded to San Diego for Jared Coreau.

Also, rumor is out there that Robby Jackson signed an AHL contract with the Rampage for 19-20. Working on confirmation...

In addition, defensemen Peter Tischke and Sasha Larocque have been released from their amateur tryout agreements, as the pair still remain under an AHL contract with the Eagles for the 2019-20 season.
Eagles Announce Series of Transactions | Colorado Eagles

Ryan Olsen arrived at training camp with the San Antonio Rampage in September with something to prove. Signed to an AHL contract, Olsen would be battling for a spot on the Opening Day roster with drafted and contracted Blues prospects. By the end of camp Olsen had secured a job, and by season’s end, he secured much more than that.

Olsen enjoyed a breakout season with the Rampage, tying for the team lead with 17 goals and posting 34 points in 69 games, the most games played by a Rampage forward. A sixth-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 2012, Olsen had notched 17 goals and 33 points combined across three AHL seasons and 181 games with Manitoba and St. John’s.

Olsen’s improvement has already earned a contract for the 2019-20 season in San Antonio, giving McDonald one key building block in his forward depth chart while many other spots won’t be cemented until the St. Louis Blues hold their camp at the end of the summer.
Olsen Enjoyed Breakout Season with Rampage | San Antonio Rampage Hockey

From his overtime game-winning goal in his first game with the Heat, to signing a contract for next season, it was a memorable year in Stockton for Rob Hamilton.
