Can't offer sheet Serg at that comp level. Don't have our 2021 3rd. Traded for Jimmy Vesey.

These are all bad

2020 1st has more value than Monahan alone.

I am fine doing a Johnny for Reinhart but he’s LW and buffalo has two.

Risto deal is a low ball offer. Not trading him for a player you likely don’t protect in ED.

Well some RHD need to be moved one way or another. They should move on from Risto imo but maybe it at least means they'll trade Montour instead of giving him a big extension.

No it doesn't. A lottery ticket for a low end 1C with a proven track record?

LW vs RW is completely overblown. You realize that in the NHL all the forwards are interchangeable, and regularly swap based on the order they enter the zone F1, F2, F3)?

Jones is a potential Tom Wilson. If he develops, he's getting protected.

Somebody (not Jokiharju) on that right side has to go. Personally, I'd move Montour, but it's definitely one of the areas our roster construction is fundamentally flawed.

If we don't trade Montour, we have to sign him to a new contract, which wold be worse than keeping Risto until the end of his contract.

If they save Risto, then Montour or Miller must be trade, they should not put RD again in the position of LD. I think it will be Montour.

I really dislike the balance of that forward lineup. Nobody in the top 6 is a positive defensive player.

The lines are changeable and just illustrative of who's there after the trades.

Eichel, Monahan, and Johansson aren't bad defenders. Skinner and Gaudreau, yes. Olofsson has room to develop and he's good positionally.

Re-signing Montour I think would be a fine move IF both of the following conditions are met:

1.) It's a reasonable deal
2.) He actually plays on the right side. He's a trainwreck on the left.

Which means that Miller might be the odd man out.....which I'm fine with.

Risto did improve under RK. i bet he goes positive in +/- next year for the first time ever
I'm down with that...if it's because he's playing I. Tampa. Risto is the least effect dman in the organization. He's a below replacement level player whose strengths are flashy and whose weaknesses are subtle but consistent. I would trade him for literally nothing. "Here, have a player that I'd rather my favorite team play against than with."

When you factor in low salary vs his age. You don’t trade a top 10 pick for a player gone in two years. I can u derstand foung that if buffalo was one piece away. Thry arent.

On top it you are trading Reinhart who is a very good player who is similar to them in stats were he playing in a more open system like Calgary.

I don’t see Jones bring a Wilson type. He isn’t 6-5. He also is someone who is not ED exempt. Had he bern ED exempt it would mean something.

You can re-sign players. And since when is height required to be a PITY to play against? Matthew Tkachuk is 6-2 and Jones is 6-1.
