Bernardo Silva on the bench vs Latvia for portugal with Andre Gomes starting. So so so so stupid.

Gelson Martins is starting over Nani as well, wrong move imho as he has been doing great as an impact sub off the bench as a livewire

Pepe out injured, Portugals CB always looks vulnerable without him there.

Joao Mario got injured as well 4/5 days ago and will not play here or in the confederations cup, big loss.

From CONCACAF yesterday the US and Mexico won their home games as expected. Mexico have already surpassed their points total from the last hex after 5 matches. Theoretically they are a win away from qualifying, usually 15-16 points is enough. The only result which didn't go to plan was Costa Rica being held scoreless by Panama, however the Ticos played most of the second half with 10 men so maybe not the worst result. Costa Rica host Trinidad next matchday so they are still in good shape

As amazing as it may sound, Moussa Sissoko has been the worst player on the pitch.

Sweden actually haven't looked bad. They've had most of the ball since I've started watching. I started around the 10' so not the whole gane

Nah, Sweden had the ball the first 10 minutes but haven't had it much since then.
That said, we're not dangerous at all, while Sweden is trying to launch long balls behind our defensemen (so far without danger either).
No save by either goalie.
Of course, we have one creative offensive player in Payet. No Dembélé, no Mbappé, no Lacazette, but Sissoko....

Pogba is a pretty good creator. At least he was for Man United this season. Also Greizmann.

But he's not really an offensive player.
If Griezmann creates, who finishes?

Sissoko is not only not doing anything right offensively, he's actually losing ball after ball.

Sissoko is hilarious. Only chance Sweden will ever get is from set pieces and he just runs over their player.
