Did he give credit to his D? Because he should.

Funny enough, he didn't need to. He faced a harder workload than Hellebuyck for sure, as the Jets did a much better job limiting high danger shots.

Gibson probably deserved it tbh if we're basing it on who the best goalie was. Stood on his head all year but most voters aren't looking into analytics.

It was a weak race based on stats alone. Goalie with the best stats win. None of the finalists were heads above anyone. It came down to team. There was no stick out.

Probably the best deserved outcome here. Rinne's numbers are very impressive.

The real question is, how the hell did a group of voters come to a conclusion that Gibson was only the sixth best goalie this past year. Him winning the damn thing would have been completely justified.

Remember that he Vezina is a regular season award and Rinne was stellar this season. Shame he had such a bad post-season, but he was undoubtably one of the best goalies this year.

Choked in the playoffs, gets Vezina... Hope he enjoys his regular season achievement.

Overall a pretty weak goaltending season this year. Rinne was okay, but definitely didn't have one of those spectacular seasons in my opinion.
