Morales is a baseball player. Drink.

Meanwhile Martin is showing that he's only here because he can't meet insurance premiums for his day job of juggling flaming chainsaws. Also Smith is up because it's a bye week for his competitive kickball league.

I know some of you guys are just enamoured by Solarte, but the guy never f***ing hustles. Always swinging like he is trying to hit it 100 miles also, but he doesn't even have that kind of power at all. He is what? A 20 homer guy at best? Come on. The guy thinks he is some kinda all-star.

A 20 HR guy at best? He has 16 right now.

OK, 22. But sure, keep excusing him because he dances in the dugout. He is 0.5 WAR and 101 OPS+, very average player. Not sure why people think he is some kinda good value.

Because he's a bench bat that offers versatility. He was never supposed to be the starting 3rd baseman. Also, he's a hell of a lot better than what other people thought we would target (Nunez).

He's a league-average bat with better-than-average power who can passably play multiple positions and seems like an upbeat/likeable personality, and his contract is reasonable for what he can provide. It's not his fault he's been forced into playing every day.

What's weirder is this crusade you've taken up where you're convinced that people liking an acceptably likeable player is awful.

It's not like everyone's gushing over Gio Urshela or pining for Ryan Goins.

Clippard is an above average reliever who is being forced into situations that are “above his pay grade” due to injuries and/or suspensions. Definitely not the worst pitcher in the league.

Nerve-wracking? Yes. Worst pitcher? Not at all.
