So he was bunting? I was kind of assuming that maybe I saw the wrong part of the replay or misunderstood something. Because I couldn't see a scenario in which it made sense for Davis to bunt with nobody on and the fact that he's Chris Davis.

Now I need to know if that was a judgement call on his part or if Showalter is secretly ultra-drunk in the dugout right now.

Best part was that he showed bunt multiple times at the at-bat before deciding to bunt with 2 strikes on a slider.

Tepera gives me palpitations every-time he pitches. His stuff sucks, he throws high 80's stuff, and it's almost all over the plate. We got away with that inning...

Tepera average velocities via Fangraphs (usage in brackets):
fastball: 96.2 (44%)
cutter: 90.5 (39.7%)
Sinker: 95.6 (14.7%)
Changeup: 89.6 (1.7%, which makes me think it's a collection of mis-classed cutters)

It’d be pretty funny if my prediction last page was wrong because neither team could get a hit with RISP.

I'm a little surprised they're playing through the rain as much as they have given that this is an April game and not one late in the year with no time to reschedule.

Might have been my elementary view of that at-bat, admittedly, I'm quite a casual Jays fan

No worries.

Standard disclaimer about reliever volatility, but even just based on last year he was really good. It wouldn't even matter if his stuff was soft if guys couldn't square it up. He led the Jays pen last year in soft contact %. He should be fine. The parts so far this year that are more unnerving are Oh and Axford.
