True. Unfortunately, Karlsson is a bit conservative in that matter (I can tell which way the wind is blowing, if the coach is from Sweden), and decided against testing younger guys like Røndbjerg, From and Blichfeld, who could have been interesting alternatives.

I dont think Toronto will let him play after the injury he got in the Olympic qualfier the last time. We can hope, but dont bet on it. Bjørkstrand is a no go too because of contract issues.

Nicolai Meyer is playing, and has a good chance to make the final roster. Malte Setkov could be interesting in the future. Players like Oliver Larsen and Mads Eller are not good enough for the 1st team.

If he clears medicals, then Andersen will be there.
So we will have the best goalie at the tournament, but he will suffer the same he does in Toronto, having a horrible D.

And we have no excuses. No injuries or NHL-play off. These are the best D men we have...
This is how it always is...we always have this situation..we just need to score more than the other team in the games where we need to get points and maybe steal one vs a big team with an amazing goalie performance

I could see this team go to qf and even suprise and reach semifinal....
If the schedule had been reverse, I could see us go to qf comfortably. We finish with the 3 weakest opponents and our team might be quite strong then.
The key game is the opener against Germany. That's a must win, and the next against USA is also important. We have to beat one of the two to reach qf

I like your lines - scoring should not be a problem. D is relatively weak, but hopefully Andersen can bail us out. I'm hoping for the Andersen of game 5 and 6 against the Bruins
Yup. The last game is against South Korea, before that it's _two_ days off and a game against the weak Latvia. Ideally it would have been the best to start the tournament with those two matches. However, seeing how Vegas thrashed San Jose last night, maybe we can hope for a quick arrival of reinforcements.

Defense is shaky, which is why they still might opt to not dress one of the defenders, and wait for Markus Lauridsen's miraculous recovery from a hand injury. That should be Nielsen or one of the Lassens.

Give Setkov a couple of years. Also the Olivers from WJC last couple of years should be better than most of our current D-men.

Wow, this is really harsh. I agree that the defense is seemingly the weakest point on the Danish team but to claim that Oliver Joakim Larsen and Oliver Gatz Nielsen would be able to replace most of the D-men on this team is just plain wrong. Oliver Gatz has been injured the whole resent season, and is supposedly still not ready to play, and Oliver Larsen has participated in some preparation games for the national team and has been found not good enough yet. I do agree however, that all 3 players could be future national team players if their development goes as planned.
