Brees @ BAL or Mayfield @ TB

Am I crazy to consider starting Baker Mayfield over Drew Brees this week? They have polar opposite matchups - Brees is facing #1 ranked Ravens D, Mayfield is playing the 32nd ranked Bucs. Brees historically doesn't do as well on the road. Mayfield let me down last week but I'm seriously considering giving him another chance this week.

I wouldn't. I don't think it's that crazy, but I still wouldn't. I don't really like the receivers the Browns have. I do like Njoku ROS, though.

If I were in your position I would pick up Stafford. Alex Smith is not doing much this year and the Detroit offense is really getting things cranking. Their improved running game with Kerryon Johnson is opening up the passing game for Stafford.

Honestly man, I would still start Brees despite his matchup. The Saints have sooo many weapons that Brees is bound to get his points. The issue that I have with Mayfield is that his floor is so low and his ceiling really isn't that high, in my opinion. Brees has both a very high ceiling and a very high floor. Even if he's not throwing touchdowns, he's not throwing picks (he's yet to throw an interception). I feel like starting Mayfield over Brees would be over-thinking your roster.

Oh man, that's solid. I love double-dipping like that with a QB/RB/WR. I'm running Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara now (I had Lutz too, but I dropped him on his bye and couldn't get him back). It was the perfect set-up. Thomas is the most reliable WR on that team, and Kamara was the go-to for the first 4 weeks. So when they were in the red zone it was almost guaranteed that I'd get points out of it somewhere. Whether they rushed Kamara, threw to Thomas, or Lutz had to kick the FG.

I was going with Johnson and Edleman. I know Johnson hasn't lit the world on fire this year, but Howard's touches have been going down, and Ingram will split touches against a very good run defense. So I think Johnson and Edleman are my safest floors. Thoughts?

Currently leaning towards Dalton, Crabtree, Thomas, Jackson, Howard and Cohen. Feeling a little uneasy about starting both Howard and Cohen, but I'm not really in love with my other options this week.

This week I got Brown and Carson on bye so it’s really tough.

Dudes take QBs like nobody’s business early in that league. Some even reach for them early. Idc if it’s FOMO or stupidity or both. Guys were even takin backups. I got AB, Allen and Thielen with my first 3 picks. But was stuck with Carr and Mariota at QB.

You start 1 RB 1 WR 2 Flex. TEs are considered WRs since there’s not 16 quality ones.

Yeah that’s my thought. Kirk is emerging as the #1 right now anyway, and Thomas is very TD dependent this year. Sanders is clearly the #1WR in the offense
