I actually think the Yankees could end up losing the wild card.
Stranger things have happened late in the season. They've got a .632 winning percentage now, with injuries. The Astros are the only other team over .600 in the entire AL (other than the Sox of course). Sure, it COULD happen.....but the odds are extremely long.
Shhh!!! No mention of 2011 is allowed.Stranger things have happened late in the season.
I never mentioned the year!Shhh!!! No mention of 2011 is allowed.
Crap! than I jinxed it. I take it back. My bad. I said nothing. That year never existed.I never mentioned the year!

As of today
They probably will but I wouldn't be shocked if either Oakland or Seattle put a scare into them. The Yanks have a 99.8% chance of making the playoffs. Have they?

I understand your point but how do they do that? Go out and lose on purpose? Is it just me that wants them to lose a few games in a row before the playoffs? Love what they've done to this point, but can't help feeling like they're peaking too early...

They do seem to come from behind quite frequently, often from substantial deficits. I'm certainly hoping that's enough. No, not at all. I'm saying I hope they have a little dip and lose a couple, so they can refocus before the playoffs. A little adversity does a team well at times.
This team is incredible.
A few more wins and I don’t think the Yankees will be able to catch us even when Judge returns.

Complete non-shocker: I read this post in the voice of @LouJersey .Shocker: Mets are incompetent and can’t turn a routine double play. Game tied.
With Tim “Vote them all into the Hall” Kurkjian sitting next him. UghThere is no one I dislike in sports more than Keith Olbermann.
The only thing missing to make it a terrible trifecta is Joe Morgan. With Tim “Vote them all into the Hall” Kurkjian sitting next him. Ugh
