The winner of this game is setup pretty good against a lousy Braves bullpen. LA can throw Kershaw twice in that series and Colorado is likely to have a huge edge with their pen

I am surprised by your stance on this. Cubs fans should want the Rockies in my view.
You may be right, but I like the Dodgers, don't like expansion teams (such as Crew & Rox), and some Rockie fans here are obnoxious Cub haters. The Cubs did so much winning from 1908-2016 to make them so unlikable. :rolling eyes: They're not the Yankees.

I screwed up when I quoted you. For some reason at the time I thought the winner of this game was playing the Cubs tomorrow, lol.

No problem. I've always liked your posts, I'm an ex-Mod, and I didn't mind explaining. I bought baseball cards before the 69 Seattle Pilots became the 70 Brewers. The 62 Mets were bad, but so were the 69 Pilots. Their team splits were

Rockies living up to the whole "but they're offense is only 2 people!" thing.

I do not like that team's chances going to Wrigley (And i'm just as sick of the Cubs as everyone else)

If not this year, it may be a long time before the NL West has a changing of the guard.

We got an overthrowing in the NL Central, but it feels like it could be years before someone takes down LA.

They won’t be this shaky next year and who knows how long this year might be the exception rather than the norm.

I’m not saying they’ll win 14 straight division titles ala the Braves (1991-2005) or the Yankees winning 9 straight division titles (1997-2006), but it’s hard to bet against a team that knows how to win that seemingly has winning engrained in their DNA

LA was never more vulnerable in recent years until this year and they are about to win yet another division title.

They just don’t know how to lose against this division when it matters with this code.

What is it going to take to knock the Dodgers off their division throne?

I was tempted to say this is like the Patriots and their division, but the NL West is actually a good division compared to the AFC East..... you get where I’m going with this, though.

Yeah, winning 1 WS since 1908 is so obnoxious.

I'm not even sure how much I'd trust Kenley in high leverage situatoins at this point....is he even gonna be closing for LAD in the playoffs?

After 8 shutout innings, Jansen comes in and promptly gives up 2 home runs. The guy is no longer a closer. I don't know why the Dodgers continue to think he is.

Dodgers can now watch Milwaukee potentially battle Chicago again in the NLDS while they'll face Atlanta.

They have to like their spot now on paper
