That is what the Brewers are attempting to replicate

They had the Herrera/Davis/Holland setup in the later innings like Milwaukee has Hader/Knebel/Jeffress. The game has changed so much even in just 3 years its hard to compare. Starters go way fewer innings per start league wide. Adjusting for that, they probably shortened the game in a similar way.

Although Milwaukee has almost taken it to new levels at time in these playoffs, piggybacking starters and having a guy for each designated inning after 6th.

The Brewers have 7 starters on their roster. It's not like it's 4 starters going 2 or 3 innings and then a bunch of relievers to finish the last 6 or 7 innings.
