Woodruff would be the best Brewers SP.

He got destroyed by LHB in 2017 when he was solely a starter. Because he didn't really have that 3rd pitch, the changeup.

He needs that change up to consistently get lefties out multiple times through an order. But I agree, Brewers should try and stretch him out as a starter next year and let him work on that changeup.

Maddux had a two year period 94-5 where his average ERA+ was 265.5. Google it.

While Kershaw's LDS numbers have been better the last 3-4 years his LCS numbers have really not been. The fact he had 7 days off too probably did not help

What's wrong with starting pitching nowadays? If a starter goes 6 innings in the playoffs, that's an accomplishment. How many times this post season so far has a starter completed at least 6? A handful of times? It's crazy how bullpen centric the game has become.

Well Kershaw started to get shelled and Brewers are all about bullpenning but to answer your question more generally...

Analytics say you are playing with fire when you turn a lineup over more than 2 times so managers are hesitant to have starters do that hence the bullpenning revolution.

Kershaw, Anderson, Ryu, Cole and Eovaldi. 5 starts that fit that criteria.

Im disappointed in Kershaw for his game 5 performance last year. Tonight was just bad luck for the most part.

Lot of pressure on Ryu tomorrow.

Agreed. I grew up on the state line and Brewers "fans" will watch the Packers over the Crew in the WS if that choice has to be made. The "home crowd" cheers for the Cubs in Milwaukee. It's awesome.
