Not really in love with trading up in the 6th round. At the ends of drafts quantity usually beats quality.

Kannok-Leipert spent most of the 2016-17 in the SMAAAHL. I know that it's AAA as in "triple A," but I just love the abbreviation of that league. Smaaahl.

Maybe the most interesting upside play. If Eggenberger or Kirk are still there at the last pick I'd take 'em. Some other decent forwards left like Burzan, Wouters, Dunkley, Sokolev, Moskal, Reichel, Okuliar.

Can't believe Nando Eggenberger is still on the board. Best name candidate for sure and was seen as a 2nd/3rd round guy.

Peds just picked up my favorite name in the draft: Vladislav Yeryomenko

The kid once played a game for the glorious Dynamo-Raubichi team, who finished that 42-game MHL season with 2 points. Would be a real story if he somehow made it to the NHL.

I really wish the management went for a higher reward players, especially with our prospect pool being pretty thin (where do you guys keep your watch now with HF dead?). 2 defensive defensemen, one 2 physical forwards and an obscurish goalkeeper in the first 4 rounds... if we get one full-time NHL player out of this bunch, it will be a smashing success. Of course you can say this about most drafts, but these guys seem to be sort of long shots.

I agree, but never know if they had wind someone wanted to grab him. Still bewildered about them moving up for Nathan Walker a few years ago, too.

If there's one thing that GMBM hasn't been afraid to do in the draft, it's move up to get "their guys" in the middle/late rounds. Still not sure I really like that strategy
