I am talking about playing in the KHL not being good for the development of a player in general as some suggest. It is just not that simple

They are both great players, and I think it's fair to say that developing in the KHL didn't hurt them, but we can't say definitively that they were better off there than in the AHL.

Maybe one day we will discover a parallel dimension where they developed in the AHL instead and we can compare the results. Until that happens, it's all just conjecture.

I will say that I believe there are things Kravtsov can learn in the AHL that he isn't likely to learn in the KHL. I also don't believe that Kravtsov going back to the KHL is anywhere on the radar. He is under contract with the Rangers and the only way he could play in the KHL is if the Rangers allowed it.

It's one game and we don't know the circumstances involved. I'm inclined to give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt.
