Welp the Jets are hiring Gase...this will either be really good or a catastrophe. Since it's the Jets it's usually the latter.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

So instead of hiring a SUPERBOWL-WINNING HC like McCarthy, they hire someone whose team was WORSE last season THAN THE F'N TODD BOWLES-COACHED JETS!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Great Hire, Macc, you worthless piece of garbage.

@Zajacs Bowl Cut , I'm sure you're enjoying every moment of this.

On the surface, it seems like a puzzling hire

It's a puzzling hire beneath the surface, too.

Let's not kid ourselves.

And THIS is why I want Maccagnan fired.

I personally did not want Rhule as I was sick and tired of the constant using of the Jets as some kind of NFL Coaching Training school for College Coaches.

When I first read that Rhule wasn't interested, I was HOPEFUL that Macc would remove his head out of his ass and hire a REAL SUPERBOWL-WINNING HEAD COACH to take Sam Darnold to the Next level.

Instead, what we got was Adam Gase who is the NFL version(attitude wise) of John Tortorella from the little I've seen.

Rumor seems to be McCarthy wanted full control and they weren’t willing to give it to him.

I wasn’t as down on McCarthy as much as other Jet fans I know, but it sure sounds like we settled on Gase at the end of the day.

"settled" meaning we reached into Miami's trash heap and pulled out a used banana peel.

Great GM'ing, Macc. :mad::mad::mad:

Everything falling the way of philly. These people will be even more insufferable if that team wins back to back championships. I might have to move again.

Rookie coaches generally aren't allowed to pick their staffs. McCarthy I imagine would've been

Every starting o-lineman for NO was limited in practice today. We will have to see how many are limited on Friday

Interesting. That suggests there are legitimate issues with probably at least 2 starters, and they feel they cant risk injury to a 3rd via practice. Smart decision IMO.

Schefter has us considering Gregg Williams for DC.

I may actually be on board with Gase if he brings in a guy with a proven track record at DC like Williams. Even if he's a nutcase.

They still have that rabbit's foot
Opposing team injuries to key players these past two weeks, the missed FG, etc

Gase is official?

How many more job offerings are there now? Will McCarthy get hired?
I'd take him as the HC for the other team that plays every other Sunday in the same stadium. But unfortunately Shurmer seems like Gettleman's boy for now. Perhaps McCarthy sits this year out, Pat has another disastrous season and they could grab him for 2020?

That would be yet another hit to Jets fans

Atlantic City is going to get an Arena Football League team

I thought the league went out of biz but apparently Philly has a team called The Soul.

It's almost as if every NFL team should be so lucky as to have nearly 1/2 their starting line-up injured at some point this season.

With a statistically "normal" injury season, the Eagles are probably 12-4 or better, might have had a bye, and likely playing at home this weekend. Some rabbit's foot in 2018!

I hope the rabbit's foot stays lucky because I decided to lay some money on Indy vs. PHL in LIII.

Anyone catch Joe and Evan's meltdown today? I forgot to tune in.

I'm only on-board for Greg Williams.

If he was signed, it would salvage this utter disaster JUST A LITTLE BIT.

'Cause at least we'll know that our Defense will be much improved.

Have ZERO CONFIDENCE / FAITH in Gase. ZERO.

Nick Saban is still considered a great coach even after that unmasking on Monday where he didn’t have a clear talent advantage. When will out long national nightmare end?

Saban is a phenomenal recruiter

I'm not so sure he's a great coach
